First Visit
Your initial appointment usually will consist of an examination and review of your treatment options.
Please assist us by providing the following information at the time of your consultation:
- Any x-rays taken by a previous dentist, if applicable.
- A list of medications you are presently taking.
- If you have dental insurance, bring the necessary completed forms. This will save time and allow us to help you process any claims.
What you can expect your 1st visit:
- You will be here for about 60 to 90 minutes.
- Please either fill out your paperwork before hand by viewing them online to print or plan to arrive about 15 mins early to fill out the paperwork.
- We will input all your paperwork into our computer system.

Our dental assistant will update any necessary dental x-rays. You can also have any existing dental x-rays transferred to our office prior to your visit.

Initial Charting (current fillings, missing teeth, crowns, etc.) will be documented.
- One of our dental hygienists will come and access your periodontal (gum) health by taking gum measurements.
- Dr. Michel will do a comprehensive exam and with the dental hygienist determine the next type of hygiene visit you will need.
- We will go over any dental issues we find and give you options on how to address those issues.
- We will answer any questions you have regarding your personalized dental treatment plan.
**Please alert the office if you have a medical condition that may be of concern prior to treatment (i.e. any joint replacement such as hip or knee; history of heart attack, or surgery that may require medical clearance, premedication prior to any dental procedures being completed. **
X-Rays
If your previous dentist office has taken x-rays, you may request that they forward them to our office. If there is not enough time, please pick them up and bring them to our office. If additional x-rays are necessary, they can be taken at our facility.
