Denice, EFDA, CDA, DAII
Dental Assistant
Denice knew she wanted to be in the dental field since the 7th grade. She has over 28 years of experience in the dental field, with special training as an Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA). With these licenses and certifications, her love of dentistry has been able to expand her duties/skills assisting with the restoration of dental implants, fillings, crown & bridge work. One of Denice’s goals at our office is to change a patient’s mindset regarding their dental work. If a patient hates or is too afraid to have dental work completed, she loves being able to put the patient at ease by showing them what we are doing and take that fear and anxiety away. When Denice is not working, she loves to cook, sew, and craft. She and her husband (Bryan) enjoy riding their side-by-side in West Virginia. She has two stepdaughters and two grandsons.
Marty, DAII
Dental Assistant
Marty graduated from Guilford Technical Community College in 1999 with her certificate in Dental Assisting. Marty has expertise in all chair side skills but especially aesthetically pleasing temporary crowns, bridges, and specializes in occlusal guards for bruxism. She has a bubbly personality and makes patients feel comfortable from the moment they come through the door. She loves helping patients and making their dental experience one that they will hopefully remember in a positive way. In her free time, Marty loves to spend time with her daughter, London, and enjoys music, laughing, sports, and weekend getaways.
Jaymi, RDH
Dental Hygienist
Jaymi has worked in dentistry for 16 years. She received her certificate in Dental Assisting from Guilford Technical Community College in 2008 and then graduated in 2010 with her associate degree in Dental Hygiene. She has recently advanced her work skills by completing North Carolina’s new local anesthetic course that now allows hygienists to administer dental anesthetic. She has a passion for dentistry and loves to stay educated in the latest research to better help her patients achieve optimal oral health. When she’s not at work Jaymi loves spending time with her two boys, Brantley and Hunter. She and her boys love swimming, paddleboarding, yoga, hiking, riding their dirt bikes, and just being outdoors.
Jessica, RDH
Office Manager / Dental Hygienist
Jessica graduated from Catawba Valley Community College with her associate degree in Dental Hygiene in 2002. She received the Proctor & Gamble Preventive Dentistry Award. Jessica is quick to make patients feel at ease by building confidence, trust and friendship with each patient. She is extremely devoted to educating patients on their individual needs pertaining to their overall oral health. Jessica has worked with Dr. Michel since 2018. Jessica is also the Office Manager for the practice of Patrick Michel, DMD, PA. She is our go-to person behind the scenes. When she is not practicing dental hygiene, she enjoys reading, traveling and spending time with her husband (Kent) and daughter (Mallorie).
Niki
Front Desk Office Admin
Niki has over 16 years of dental experience. From greeting patients, scheduling treatment and filing insurance claims, she does it all! She loves helping patients get the most out of their insurance plans. Niki is very outgoing, has a bubbly personality and a bright smile to match. Niki has been married to her husband, Andrew, for 3 years. She is a very proud dog mom and will happily show you pictures of her fur baby. Niki and Andrew have a chi mix named Atley Opal that they adopted from the Forsyth Humane Society. Niki loves plants, afternoon naps and audiobooks. She enjoys eating delicious food and drinks with her friends and traveling. She can’t wait to meet you at your next appointment so be sure to say HELLO!
Stephani
Front Desk Office Admin
Stephani began her journey in dentistry by working in an orthodontic practice in 1997. After more than 10 years in orthodontics, she took some time off to raise a family and care for her disabled brother. Stephani jumped back into ortho for a short time before becoming the newest member of Dr. Michel’s Admin team in April 2023. She is one of the welcoming smiles you see when you come into the office. She is happy to answer questions, schedule your appointments, and help you navigate your insurance needs. Stephani has been married to her husband (Dave) for more than 27 years. They have three beautiful daughters and an adored niece that spends a lot of time at their home. They have 2 dogs and a horse. She is a hobby baker, and loves sewing, quilting, gardening, and canning.
